Volunteer Mentors?
Posted by Deirdre on April 23, 2021 at 12:10 pmHi, A couple of weeks ago, when I logged on to the TAC website, I saw a list of volunteer mentors. Now I cannot find it. Anybody know where to access this?

Since TAC transitioned to the new website, they no longer have mentors. However, if you post your questions on the forums someone will respond.

What??? I am dead??? I knew this simulation was too good to be true. Wait a second does that mean I have made you up too @Marty69 ?
Hi @Deirdre , I think we are all buddies in the grand sense, guitar geeks united etc. but I think anyone who responds directly to this post would fit your definition? Maybe?
Do you have something you are working through right at the moment and are looking for clarity? @Loraine called it. For fastest results post up a question in Community Support. Many Eyes make fast problem solving.

Well that certainly explains why I couldn’t find it!
Bummer!
Anyone out there looking for a guitar buddy?

Absolutely. I looked at your profile and seems we have similar goals.
The more guitar buddies the better!

Hi Don from Texas,
It does look like we’re on similar guitar journeys. What are you working on for your latest 90 day goals?
These are mine:
1. Establish a regular routine – check!
2. Participate in 2 forum discussions – check!
3. Attend some VOMs with an eye to participating next time – check!
4. Learn John Lennon’s Imagine, finger-picking and lyrics – off book – not there yet but getting better.

Good point – OK many guitars buddies.
1. When are the open mics? I’d like to sit in on a couple before I get up my courage to participate.
2. I wrote my first tune today. It happened quite naturally while I was practising my pentatonic scales – just like Tony said it would. I tried to write the tablature so that I would remember it, but I couldn’t figure out how to indicate the rhythm. Any suggestions?

Hi @Deirdre ,this link will take you to the list of VOMs, it is on our site.
For the second thing: I am thinking you are asking where you can go to learn how to notate rhythm? If that is correct, I don’t know where on TAC those directions live. Someone else might know but let’s make sure we are on the right track.
VIRTUAL OPEN MIC ANNOUNCEMENT – Please read if you attend the VOMs
