Wagon Wheel (Tony and @Bill_Brown combo platter)
@Bill_Brown, in a comment on Friday’s lesson (thanks Bill), mentioned how he played the chord progression to Wagon Wheel using root and 1st inversion triads. I had done this chord progression previously, in different ways each time through. I wasn’t going to do it again, but seeing Bill’s post, challenged me. Trying it in different ways helps me grow. Bill said he liked it finger style, but I used a pick since I was playing it through in other ways also. I was not familiar with the triads, and so my transitions and hitting the right strings lacked some accuracy. Such as it is, here is my combo platter: first playing it as Tony did, but with a 3 finger G; then Bill’s triads; then in a percussive way; next with a standard strumming pattern; and last, back to Bill’s triads (hitting extra strings in my inaccuracy). My tempo increases as I go along.
