Why 2 K?
Today was my 2,000th playing session. It snuck up on me because I have had so much fun just enjoying this musical habit. It seemed to pass pretty quickly. I look back on where I was when I started TAC and it feels very good. On a vacation trolley tour last week in Boston in the music district, the driver commented that music was made up of notes and he asked, “What else”? In a trolley full of people, I was the only one that answered. “Silence”. He said that was right and asked if I was a musician. Without thinking, I responded, “Yes”. He asked what I played, and I said “Guitar”. And I realized that I genuinely meant it because it was true. Thanks Tony and crew and forum buddies. It wouldn’t be true without you.

It seems to take me a while to figure out I can be a musician and artist without having to be “Good”. Good infers comparative thinking and competitive thinking. A real musician only compares oneself to yesterday’s self. A real artist is not competing but only expressing oneself through one’s medium. Fun comes through that growth as a musician and expression as an artist.

Space and time… So deep… And it is here we agree to meet. I could yammer on for hours about this. : ) It is the basis for my tone-versation philosophy. Congrats on the milestone. The feeling begins to overtake the importance of the number.
