  1. I love the lesson, but I can’t find the tabs. Can you help a brother out. Also, the website look great.

  2. Oh I can do it. I’m pretty decent at reading tab so went decently well. I’m focusing on right strokes. Using fingertips and timing. Sound decent now which I was wondering if it would compared to your lesson.

  3. you totally lost me. how about a written tabulature or something like this: 6/0 6/0 6/3 6/4 5/2 5/2 5/4 5/4. 4/2 4/2. 5/4 5/4 5/2 5/2 5/4 5/4. 4/2 4/2 5/4 5/4 5/2 5/2 5/4 5/4… 5/0 5/0 5/3 5/4 4/2 4/2 4/4 4/4. i’m umcelar in this section: 5/2 5/2 5/4 5/5 4/4 4/4 4/6 4/6

    1. i find doing an “invisible” upstroke on the on the second ‘&’ as you move from fret 2 to 7 helps

      1 (down)=open A,
      & (up) = Fr1 A
      2 (down) = Fr 2 A
& (up) = ‘Invisible’ as you move your hand to position for fr7
      3 (down) = Fr7 low E

Then you let the low E ring out and you get back to the beginning on the 1 count

      Hope that makes sense

  4. someone might know just curious on the last line the TAB on the first bar says it’s a B chord but it looks like an A chord i dunno is it because of the sixth fret that the chord changes to a B i dont quite get that but I guess it’s not that important but I was just curious.

  5. I know it’s a five day challenge but it still taking me at least a few days per song (sometimes more) even if I play over an hour or two a day. I guess I’m just slow but it’s fun and I do enjoy it, it’s just I don’t retain the patterns as well as I would have once upon a time the tabs help (music note under the video) cause sometimes I get lost in the lesson. Keep up the good work

  6. Hi Tony!

The chord in bar 9 feels more like a B minor than B major. B-B-D-D# seems better, right?

    Brett

  7. I enjoyed the challenge and the way Tony broke the tune down to memorable and learnable portions. It’s interesting how you can go from rhythmically playing along with Tony, then get into your own “swing” as Tony refers to. This is fun! I look forward to learning more! :>

  8. All the chat about finding the tab made me open it and try to figure out how to read it. I must have had a block in my mind about reading the music. I printed it out and figured out that the tabs are in fact easy to read and follow and this has made it much easier for me to play this boogie. So happy to have this tab tool now. I have always had to watch your fingers and listen to figure out what to play :/

  9. The Tab icon is a “note” at the bottom right of the lesson video.
It is next to the “Heart.”
They are difficult to see as they are light gray.
You can select the “quarter moon” icon in the top right of the page next to your “profile” and it will change the entire screen display to “dark time” mode and those icons will be easier to see/find.
    Hang in there Bill

  10. Thanks Tony, love the concept of this 5 day challenge series…thanks for adding it. This has been a fun way to get started playing the Blues. It motivated me to look up some simple theory associated with the 12 Bar Blues which combined with Day1 of this series brings it to life a little bit for me. One question…you reference the turnaround, but the theory i was reading suggested that when the last (12th) bar contains the 5 chord(B in this case) that bar may be considered a Turnaround…but the day 1 Boogie references the 1 Chord (E chord) in the last bar of the Boogie. Sorry if this is too geeky :), but my only reason to ask about this is that maybe one day I’ll be playing with someone and want to be able to use the correct terminology to be able to communicate. So my question is, what exactly is considered the Turnaround?

  11. wow that’s hard to see on my screen for some reason. I can see play just fine, but the heart and the music note on the other side are nearly invisible till I highlight them.

  12. Hi Tony, I just discovered these new series of 5 Day Challenges today, and I”m thrilled! Thanks TAC for these additions.
Question. At the beginning of the 9th measure, we are playing 2-2-4-5 on the A string. Shouldn’t that be 2-2-5-6 ? I realize that would be quite a stretch for the pinky along with requiring a position shift, but that would be more in tune with the E & A chord sections.

  13. I’m sorry I just began this course and also need to understand how to get back to yesterday’s lesson thanks

  14. I have never tried the Blues style of playing before, but I am seeing how learning a completely different style of playing will add to my tool box so to speak and it is fun and refreshing to learn something new1

  15. Good lesson. I had to log out and log back in to post this. Someone thought I wasn’t logged in. How did I get to this lesson if I was… Never mind. Ready to rock!!

  16. I can’t find the tabs. They were up there on the last lesson. Please help. I’m old and half blind. Well old is true but the tabs are missing. Of course I do miss place everything I touch. So please can someone help me look?

  17. When I went to bed last night I thought about how great it would be if TAC had a dedicated blues course. Lo and Behold when I logged in this morning, there it was. Thank you TAC. Now if it progressed to some more advanced courses and finger picking, II could be a lifer.
