  1. As I go up to the higher strings, it actually becomes more difficult! Any idea why? For example on the B and high E my ring finger will not stretch at all to the next fret! Advice?

  2. Great exercise, I have short fingers and have always had problems stretching my fingers for blues shuffles, etc. I believe this will be a great benefit going forward.

  3. Looking at the other comments, I feel like a freak, because the index stretch was more doable than the pairs stretch. I had to move 1 fret towards the body to make it work and it was difficult. I don’t know, I washed my hands today and now I can’t do a thing with my fingers! Oh well, keep at it I guess.

  4. Agree with all of you. I do feel like this one is easier than the Index Stretch. I get some buzzing also, but I think it’s because I’m not starting right at the fret. I’m more towards the middle so it’s harder to reach. Needs work.

  5. OK, for whatever reason Pairs worked better for me than Index. Tried at 5th fret, but needed to go to 7th fret and was able to do it, so worked on that. Then down to 6th fret and made it so ended up back on 5th and was able to complete it. Feeling much better than last post and ready to move on tomorrow.

  6. With this one, I often get buzzing when working between my middle and ring fingers, which don’t like to stretch apart when fretting. This is one that I will keep working on every day for a while.
