Pinky strums other strings on way up

going from the lower E string onto the upper E string is a REAL stretch for small hands like mine

This one is addicting. I find myself wanting to speed up as I go but need to slow it down:))) Great exercise!
I enjoyed getting into the groove of this one.
nice stretch, tough at higher speeds
Very tricky fingering. I think it will help me to practice each 4-note set as a unit, then each 3 units (each string jump) as another unit, and so on. I don’t find the stretches painful (I must not be doing them right!), but darn near to impossible, particularly the close-fret stretch at the high-note strings. I end up lifting my hand and using the “wrong” finger. That won’t help me to learn big chords!
completed 2/24/24
wow i can certainly feel this between each finger
I need to keep reminding myself that perfect is not the purpose. rough sledding.
My ring finger is actually the hardest for me. Pinkie is no prob.
A few shoulder rolls after attempting this helps with the stored up tension.LOL
Haaaaa I’ve been on this vertical stretch for 2 days and I don’t feel like I can honestly
mark it complete. Toughest exercise yet. As with all the lessons, when I come back to them I’m
suprised at my improvement. Great to have structured lessons and the ability to go back to previous ones.
Beautiful guitar Tony

very challenging doing the big stretches with the ring and picky fingers
Yikes! Nothing else. Just yikes!
going from the lower E string onto the upper E string is a REAL stretch for small hands like mine
This is tough! I can do it but at a very slow pace! This might take a while!
My pinky is like “WTF are you doing to me???” by the time I get to end of the low E/G sequence.
However, I can totally see how this would help with picking accuracy as well as fretting hand stretching…
Agree. The pinky is the “in reserve” finger that never gets used except for pinky swearing and high tea. Mine is also saying “WTF?”
hardest challenge yet!
will be so pleased when i can do this one!
The RA in my hands does not like these moves to much.
Makes my brain hurt…makes my hands hurt!! I do find it a bit easier holding holding the guitar in the classical position however. Definitely need to keep working on these stretch exercises!!
This is a brilliant exercise! I normally just try and stretch my fingers across the fretboard instead of up/down… I even added to this exercise by completing the rotation and starting all over again but starting on the A string and working down, the starting on the D string and so on.
Wow, this is some complicated fingering.
