  1. I’m a day late but this is awesome, what a cool sound, it went well, my timing is just a bit early and for the most part I’m able to stay with Tony. I do listen to music a lot closer now to hear the vibrato. Again such a cool sound.

  2. My index finger does the vibrato and the others just tag along, late and out of sync. Don’t foresee many of these in my future but I showed up and gave it a try.

  3. That’s gonna take some practice. I find my index finger doing a bigger wiggle compared to the other two. Still, pretty cool. Interestingly though, if I only use my index and middle finger, the wiggle is quite comparable. I guess the ring finger is throwing my pattern off. Weird, but fun.

  4. Ok I got the chords and the transition to each on the play but the strings just don’t want to do the vibrado thing very good just yet. Not much bending and shaking. A win anyway.

  5. I use vibrato often and bends occasionally when playing individual notes. I have not used it on chords like we are playing in todays session, it seems not to difficult especially for this chord shape, I will try incorporating it into my playing.

  6. Feeling like my fingers are a little uncoordinated–not with the chords but with the vibrato. But still enjoyed it.

  7. that was fairly easy…timing was my biggest challenge today. I’ve been working some vibrato into my normal songs I play…experimenting/practicing sometimes I think it adds something

  8. Vibrato is quite difficult on a 12-string. I’ve done it before on a 6-string with some success, but now I have only a 12-string. The higher strings work well, rocking the fingers between the frets, but bending the strings is difficult.

  9. Its not all that difficult but the thumb slap is throwing me off. when playing at the speed of the “Play”, the slap seems to be more of the beginning of the next measure rather than the end of the current measure. I needed to play it faster to get better rhythm. It’ll probably come easier next time.

  10. As I write this, my left middle three fingers are throbbing. Oddly enough there is a smile on my face in spite of the pain because I succeeded to play vibrato. It actually sounds good. I don’t want to stop. Thanks for this one.

  11. This exercise is an order of magnitude more challenging than the 3 previous ones. It builds strength, accuracy and timing. It looks easy on paper and it sounds easy to hear you play it, but this one, for me, is a real challenge. Thanks!

  12. I like this one. It takes time to get my head around the chords. (small win) and even longer to switch them. (small win). I am getting better at sticking to it and taking the wins where I get them. I’m a work in progress.

  13. Having difficulty getting vibrato on 3 strings in unison consistently, when I do get it sounds cool. My first time trying this technique, will need to more practice to get it under fingers.

  14. I’m liking the sound of the A7-D7-E7 chord progression. A million songs have been written from Blues, Jazz and Rock in this style! This is where every guitar player starting out begins with a 3 chord progression song that can be played in any key. Good stuff!

  15. My small win today was playing with a fellow TAC family member. She was in Colorado and I am in Iowa. We played together online using the JackTrip app. We played several TAC songs as well as many others. Lots of fun!

  16. I checked in and finally made it to the transitions and was able to get a little vibrato out of it. Chords continue to be a struggle, but my fingers finally began to get a hold of this. I have a long ways to go, but I am getting there, brick by brick. Somedays just seem to only be one brick a day.

  17. I did well today with the vibrato and the chord movements. I need some work on the count as i seemed to rush it sometimes. overall i enjoyed this lesson.

  18. I like the mellow sound of these chords and using the vibrato. It was hard not to rush the “and of 4.”
Had a fun time jamming, virtually, with a friend, who is a fellow TAC member! We’ve added TAC songs to our repertoire- what fun!
