Tony, Please explain again how to get to the “challenges”. I have watched the Q & A Replay and I have Re-watched the Introduction to Fretboard Wizard, looked on the Home page and in the Forum, but I do not see a link to the challenges you refer to in this lesson. I may be becoming a ” Fretboard Wizard” but I am feeling like a computer dumbass. Please HELP! Thanks,
Vicki
Vicki,
I am glad you brought this up 🙂 Make sure to go to the academy and click on that fretboard wizard link. Once you are there (Fretboard Wizard fall-2017) you will see a link on the course homepage (in the course materials section) that takes you to the Fretboard Wizard community, once there you will see the challenges and such 🙂
Cheers,
Tony
Yep, this was the most difficult for me so far. Being in Engineering, the paper theory stuff seems easier. I am curious on how to answer the Rising Sun Key question just using the low E, as it was an Am key so just wondering how that technique differs? The rest I used the lo E string match process, bur it was difficult as I don’t listen to blue grass much.
John,
That is a great question about House of the Rising Sun. I intentionally placed that question in there and will go over it at our first live hangout session 🙂 Your hunch is right, you need a bit more context to tell if it is minor 🙂
Cheers,
Tony
Where do you find the Q&A replay and lesson?
Nick,
You can find all of the replays located under the course materials portion of the course. It is a downloadable pdf with links to all of the live q&a sessions 🙂
Cheers,
Tony
Where’s the challenge? Is that only for the live session?
JT,
Correct 🙂 It helps when there is a group all doing it together, so stay tuned for the live version starting in Nov. 🙂
Cheers,
Tony
Ok & ty for getting back with me.
Im unable to get the lesson practice challenges, any suggestions you may on how i might be able to get the challenges would be helpful. I tried practicing with some taylor swift songs but i would much rather use your material.
Paula,
The challenges were a bit difficult to manage in the 6 week version of the course so we will be bringing them back in the live version. That being said all of the challenges were self directed meaning you would post a link from youtube and then, in the case of this lesson, describe the key you think it is in. If you would like to do that I would be happy to review it here all you have to do is post the link and then type what key you think the song is in. I will then review it 🙂
Cheers,
Tony
Im not able to get to the forum & the extra songs . I went to the introduction but im not seeing any green bar to click on?
Paula,
Sorry for any confusion we recently switched the formatting of the course so as to limit overwhelm. You are welcome to post questions in the standard community area since many Fretbaord Wizard Grads are in there and willing to help 🙂 Also, I will encourage any questions that you have be asked here, since this will allow others to learn from them as well 🙂
Cheers,
Tony
Howdy Tony, I would love nothing more then to be able to join the live iteration ( btw what the hecks a iteration? Lol) but im at work during all of the live get togethers & that really blows chunks dude but whatcha gonna do.
Paula,
Good news and no need for chunks to be blown 🙂 The new live q&a sessions will be archived so everyone can benefit 🙂
Cheers,
Tony
Is the lessons challenge what you discussed in the original video??
How do watch the Q&A replay ??
Paula,
Here is a link to the replay 🙂 https://youtu.be/CcCP8kX2zv4
Make sure to tune into the next live iteration of Fretboard Wizard as well, I would love to have you in there, and there will be a unique Q&A that will go with all of the lessons 🙂
Cheers,
Tony
