Cool Cover TJ!
You just gave me another song to learn on the uke! nice job. -
I opposite @jumpinjeff on this one. I am good on the DAEe Strings and slow on the G and B strings. But if you are one like me that works better when I understand what is going on more than just memorization, I would suggest taking the Fretboard Wizard course. The basic theory it covers is laid out in a really understandable way. It could be worth looking at even if you feel really new. In my opinion Day 1 would be a good time to start learning that stuff.

Cool stuff… I am practicing waiting and hoping the improv lightbulb comes on for me sometime soon

As @ukulelebug mentions, with practice at some point your hands will know what to do. You will no longer have to think about it. You will just think C (not even the shape of it, just C or even just the sound of it) and your hands will go there. It takes time and repetition to get there. Making those reputations slow and accurate until that happens is preferable to fast and sloppy. Accuracy First tone second, rythm third … Then speed

Not only is the singing and playing spot on, the production is really good!

CONGRATULATIONS!
I hope to see similar success with the flat pick! Thanks for sharing your story, it is encouraging.

Now this song is part of my personal way back machine.. And you should be proud of your singing on this one! There is a snowball’s chance in Hades for me to sing this without working out a baritone version, I couldn’t even hit those notes in a tenor register. You really sang it well!

You are right, that is a very chordy song! Nice job, thanks for sharing!

You came up on my YouTube Rotation right after Carson and Skylar Makee doing the same song! Congrats on getting picked up on the funky Youtube algorythm!
You did great on this song!

Yeah, I can see that, but I was a seal fan. He kind of brought back the B to R&B for a while. I generally like either metal, or music that came before me. I do like R&B but not a fan of what passed for it in the early 90’s so Seal was a breath of fresh air to me. I am glad you chose one of his songs for your project. I hope you feel recharged enough to power this through… so close and so very inspiring.
