I gotta try this out! I have small hands myself and it’s always been discouraging to me, thinking that it’ll be near impossible to ever reach anything easily, especially on the first few frets. I need to keep experimenting with what works for me, without necessarily adapting poor habits.

Wow, thank you for this. I know exactly what you mean when you mentioned about having those necessary moments of struggle. I’ve struggled plenty during my guitar journey, even to the point that I thought it would never happen multiple times. And yet, here I am still trying and realizing that achieving success and having fun IS possible, no matter how long that slump may last. Glad to hear you had that crucial moment of joy come back, those little moments fuel us to move forward to what is possible.

Looking forward to the day I can finally reach fingerstyle! I love the sound but I have a lot of basic and foundational things to learn before I even get there, let alone doing it without looking!

I know what you mean, and sometimes it’s just the demands of life that make it really hard to squeeze it in and sometimes it’s frustrating when all you want to do is sit down and have fun with it. But I don’t want to give up, I’m always glad when I make the time even if it’s not very long. Congrats on 6 days! Let’s keep this streak going. 30 days, here we come!
