lucky for you, cross picking 5 day challenge rolls into last weeks daily challenges. Excellent.

Excellent idea! I don’t have metal walls but my desk hutch has a metal frame. I’ll try it out.

I am determined to be able to understand what Tony is talking about in some of his daily challenges. I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I just have to keep studying it. So far, so good! I have been getting in some good playing time lately.

You do a great job on this. Knocking on Heavens Door is one of my favorites. Guitar strumming and vocals came out great.

Congratulations @Loraine! Your doing great and also great ideas. 7 guitars!!! WOW, yes, good idea to stash them around the house. Easy to pick up for some scales or a quick riff. I’m excited to see how your 2nd Anniversary will be. again…. CONGRATS!!

My finger tips hurt just thinking about a 12 string. It will have a wider neck so make sure you try out as many as you can to get a good fit for your hand.

I use http://www.ultimateguitar.com. It doesn’t show you how to play the song but it gives you the tabs and lyrics. I use it a lot. Also jerrysguitarbar.com. He offers a lot of free songs, shows you how to play them too. The small challenges Tony shows us are great and help to build your knowledge base. He’ll show one and i’ll think…. hey, that sounds like Brown Eyed Girl. If I can’t figure out the intro myself, i’ll search for it and then play it. Have fun.

Stretch those fingers. The problem isn’t your fingers, they have to be trained to move in positions that they have never had to do before. Yeah, I agree Tony makes it looks easy, but he’s been doing it for a lot of years. I have a beautiful full size Martin that I rarely play because it’s HUGE! It’s just so hard to get my fingers around the neck on it. My advice would be to pick up a smaller guitar. 3/4 or 1/2 size? You could get a used smaller guitar just to use for practicing on. A classical 1/2 size with nylon strings for practice, easy on the fingers, easy to see what you are doing. If it is easier to use, you’ll find you’ll play more. You have to practice, but the goal is to play and enjoy. Good luck.
