@Timbothirroul They are growing the same it’s just that now you are playing a little more attention to them. I would suggest after clipping your nails file them with a fine nail file. Your nail will have a sharp edge and you don’t want that digging into your fretboard.

@James H. The pick makes a big difference. I know I have a bunch of different kinds but I have my preferred pick which is the Dunlop with a grip. Doesn’t slip out of my grip as much as the smooth picks do. Glad you found one that works for you.

@johndingmansricloud-com , you’ll find that you’ll learn a lot from the forum. This is everyday help, not just once a week. I found that to be a big help. Have fun with your guitar journey.

EXCELLANT! Good to hear. I know that I’m going to have to go back to the FBW again and again till i can get it to stick in my head. What an accomplishment to write your own song. We just have to keep at it.

Just keep at it. Try to pick the guitar up at least to do the challenges. Good Luck.

@OhWowMan , I guess it’s all about what you are looking for. You are probably better than you think. I would recommend listening to some of the songs played in the Forum. Usually you can watch how they are playing the guitar, giving you a better idea of how to get the strumming style right. But, I like your idea of having an instructor. You can’t go wrong with one on one instruction. He (or she) might be able to help you figure out just what you want to do. Strumming, Fingerpicking, flat picking, etc. It would make you play in front of a real live person, which to me is the biggest step of all. Good Luck.

Wow that was great that @the-old-coach caught those 2 lines from @N-lightMike . They are inspirational. I do the same thing I write my message in Word first and then copy it over. Then go back and delete out those weird symbols that are added. It’s something to do with how the message is saved. Since our messages/posts are pretty small not like a document. Ok, some of us write a lot more. This happens with “quotes” and ‘semi-colons’ . I just changed the encoding to a txt file. and so far it looks like it copied over fine. But, to me not worth the trouble.

@jenbicimsn-com just above the challenge is a forward and back button. They only work for the month we are currently work with. We are getting into the end of December so if there is anything you missed save or favorite now.

@old_salt This is the link to the warm up exercises. https://tonypolecastro.com/courses/guitar-players-daily-stretch-guide/
One of the members made up this nifty cheat sheet. Hope this all helps. 🙂

@Loraine , Thanks for your encouragement. I have to start looking at some songs that I can add into my song book. I pushed that all to the side when I started the FBW. I am glad I did the FBW and I do plan on going over it again. The CAGED was a toughie but I know if I don’t apply it, i’ll forget it. But, this week it seems like i’m having an easier time adding on a little more to the daily challenges. Right now, i’m trying to pick out the notes to Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash. do do do dodo do do dooooo….
