What is the width of the neck of your guitar? That might be your problem, I’ll agree with @Alfred on his recommendation of a classical guitar. All my guitars have different widths at the nut. Largest width is my classical. I picked up a 1/2 size classical pretty cheap. You could always pick up a used guitar at a cheaper price if width of the neck is an issue. But….. like @Loraine said check out google first.

The F barre chord is a toughie. I’ll finally get it pressed down, I can hear all the strings then I have to change to another chord! When I change back to the F barre, I pretty much have to stop mid song and place my fingers one at a time to fret. The video was super cute. Thanks for the post.

Great job! I have gotten so many ideas listening to the “play for us” forum. This is one that I will definitely learn to finger pick. Again great job.

A few months back I got a great deal on a 1/2 size classical guitar with nylon strings that I just couldn’t pass up. I never realized what a difference it would make on my practice time. I still have my steel string guitars, but when I know I’m going to be playing endless hours? I grab my classical. Oh gosh yeah, do the stretching exercises. I know Tony has a course on various exercises. Good luck.

Hey @wilchappell , you could capo down 3 or 4 frets that would give you an idea of a wider neck would do for you.

@Moonhare and @Mark ,I actually feel I’m getting somewhere now. I have a song I’m to learn for my 90 day goal. I think that will be sometime early July. I can play it, slowing down in a lot of spots , but maybe, just maybe I’ll be able to post a song.,

No, @Charles B ,my son doesn’t play. I asked him if he wanted to learn and he told me his dad tried to show him numerous times and he just isn’t getting it. He’s a lefty which doesn’t help. I might take my classical and restring it for a lefty and see if that helps? Of course…. I would be without my practice guitar then.
