Nice. You’ve got the Christmas spirit. What are the two guitars propped against the window?

Yes, as he said counting in is helpful. That metronome is a hard mistress, but that is why it helps us improve. I’ve been using one more often to prepare myself to play with others in a band setting which is one of my goals for 2025.

I like the song. I’d like to see your guitar more in the frame so I could watch your technique. I like the texture of your voice with the directness of the lyrics. Thanks for posting.

I plan to start playing more with others, particularly with a worship team at church.

The tried and true answer is the classical guitar position with one foot propped up. That is the least stress ergonomically. But next is up with a strap so that one can stand up or sit down without significant change in guitar position. Most of us don’t do either but just grab and go.

Enjoyed the song and your performance. Makes me wonder… what would my Mother say if one asked her about her baby boy? What would one ask about me?

Congratulations on TACivesary Dos. I know your playing with your family is much more confident. Kudos from Austin.

Good benchmark. I kept waiting for that high Neil Young singing. Interesting treatment of the Em7 3/4 rhythm.

Good progress. Congratulations.

Lifetime has been a great deal for me both financially and personal growth wise. I highly recommend it.

Your are correct. They re not the same. I do it in my head to make the chord progression easier (like an acronym) but I play chord as a Dm7. When finger picking an instrumental piece this keeps me on track with the big picture for what is happening. That comes from my love of the Nashville numbering system to simplify what is going on.
