What a nice sentiment. I need to check Central Texas again. We lost the Austin Jam Club during COVID.

Good news that you survived. Many didn’t and friends and family were lost. And happy you are able to get back on your streak. I had a streak going that was becoming a weight. So at 366 days, I broke it on purpose to let those feathers go as Lil Smokies sing. I still have lengthy runs, but if one is occasionally broken, it’s okay. As long as you get back in the groove, you’re good. Speedy recovery wishes to you.

My overall TAC goal is to be able to play guitar like the piano man plays at the piano bar. He takes a request and we all sing along. So I am delighted you reminded me of this song. I live your carousel 3/4 waltz rhythm.

You brother must be missing you. Good job.

You are brave to try to get and keep all those strings in tune. Your chord transitions have really smoothed out. And your confidence has really grown over t your journey with TAC. Thanks for sharIng. (And the song has been a real parenting warning when my boys were still in the nest.)

I’ve been around TAC now for a while and I would advise simply keeping on keeping on. The 10 minutes adds up and you don’t notice until you do. An example… I have liked the Johnny Rodriquez hit, “Dance With Me Just One More Time”. I start out with a slow and simple waltz (3/4) time. C, Dm, G, chords and learn the chords and how to transition them (skills courses). Understand they are a 1, 2m, 5 progression (from Fretboard Wizard which I love), Understand they are a C scale so I add a short break that simply plays the melody. Then I pick up bass runs for for chord transitions and pentatonic scales for outdo. And the simple song starts to grow into something. Patience and perseverance Is the key. Well really the key is having fun because then I don’t need to be patient or persevere. I’m going to do a quick and dirty unpolished one take and post it to demonstrate. And it may not be good, but I’m having fun so I’ll leave good the Studio Professionals.

Each of these three wins leads to a good Foundation for more winds. Good job.

Like that Alt tuning and you’ve performed the piece with flare and interest. It is captivating.

Heartfelt and true. Fine performance.

Way to go. Just remember to clean those fingers before starting to pick. Have fun. I love both finger and flat picking. The percussive elements are a work in progress.

Very significant milestone. I’m proud for you. Never underestimate the cumulative effect of small changes.

I am like Willy in that we are both old.
