Might be “Freight Train” or “Margaritaville” or “Will the Circle Be Unbroken”.. I like the question. Hope the thread continues.

Enjoyed that. Actually picked up my guitar and played along with you.

I tried and made The Thrill is Gone by BB King work with it for example. You might google Slow Blues Songs or Slow 12 Bar Blues Songs and see if one might work for you. Hope that helps. (You can also make up a song of your own. Like I made up. “My flag pole is broken baby. Wind blew it right in the street. (Repeat)
Mama says I got to get out my tools and fix back it straight and neat.” [Inspired by actual recent event]

I am not exactly following you, but Wednesday usually is a scale. It should come together on Friday’s chord transition session. In your accounting that might be Day 5 of Week 4. Don’t get too frustrated. The process will come together.

I fear the rivers overflowing, I hear the voice of rage and ruin. And there is a bathroom on the right. Ha.

I am not familiar with this song but will investigate it a little further. It’s nice to find new songs. Thanks.

I love to play a waltz but when i actually try to dance one my head gets lost in the song and my feet forget to keep up.

The benchmark songs are not specifically located on the website. Most of us mark them as favorites. Then in our profile we can access them anytime. One can also access them by going to another member’s profile and favorites and finding them in that manner. My hard thing is remembering the lesson’s unique but fun names. One member, Craig Colvin, has complied a spreadsheet of the names.

I love the key change from G to A to add intensity and emotion. You are getting “crafty”. Nice work. And not just one of my favorite Alan Jackson songs but one of favorites period.

Nice to see you climbing back on that horse. Your tenaciousness is inspiring.

I don’t recall a reggae song off hand that is used to build the techniques around, but he does cover techniques that emphasize the upstrokes on the off beat that I’ve incorporated into some reggae style songs I’ve joined in with others playing around the campfire.

You will be surprised how your brain tucks your 10 minutes away and comes back to it next time around. Research shows retention works better with short (say five 10 minute sessions with five 2 minute breaks) than one long (say 60 minute) session. I think that is why it works and it nice to take off the pressure of comparing yourself to where you are than where you think you SHOULD be. Enjoy.

Did you make that or buy it?
