Very nice scale movement and timing. Marty Robbins would be proud.

Go for it. By the way I have a son who graduated from Wolfson High School and we love to visit friends back in Jaguar country. There is some good music out your way and am happy you will be making some of it. Welcome to TAC.

I’m with @MoochasPoochas in “take it sooner than later”. I gained great value from Fretboard Wizard and it accelerated my learning curve to hyper space speed. Theory reduces memory work and allows playing with others to be an easier reality. You know there is only a half step between sad and happy.

Sound like you are having great fun. A guitar and a gig. Nice.

I’m happy to see that you are using the forum to work through confusions. In my guitar journey I have found that just a simple comment can lift a fog. Welcome to a serendipity of TAC… your fellow guitar geeks.

Ha. That is rich. Page 2… the sequel.

Wow. Please take care and stretch your hands and wrists and shoulders. With that amount of time they will need the attention to be sustainable. But what fun.

Thank you @Cadgirl @Ronlad @Bill_Brown @stevieblues @Loraine for you encouragement. You are all Spartan Guitar Geeks. Go 300. I am going to France in May to Celebrate a Golden Wedding Anniversary and I fear that will end any streak. We will see.

First I run through the song to assure I know it’s chord structure, progression, notes, etc. (If I don’t know what a G#7 chord is then I won’t be able to play it for sure with a metronome.) Then, If the metronome is messing me up, it is ALWAYS because I’m trying to go faster than my muscle memory can keep up. I hate it, but the answer is to slow it down and down and even more. But if I discipline myself to use a metronome, the total time to performance level is reduced.

@Loraine Photos are acting strange on the site. I have to touch it in the blank box and it loads and comes up. I posted a photo a few weeks ago about hand stretching and had the same thing happen. I used the photo icon in the reply footer and that is how it loaded.
