I’m in the same boat. Been working on the 5 Day Challenge myself. Same thing. I can get the exercises fine one time, then not the next time. But it gives me hope.

It slowly gets better and better. Do your best not to get frustrated when you have trouble with something. Just keep working at it or take a break and come back to it.

I practiced this one quite a bit last nite myself. Doing fine with everything except still a little slow on the chord transitions. More work on that, then we’ll see if I can play along with the video more consistently.

My dad was similar. He would tell you if you were doing something badly, but he was just as quick to tell us kids when we did something well or if he was proud of us.
I also try not to say too much if it can’t be something nice, but I don’t think any of us are perfect in that respect.
It sounds like you’re making some good progress. Keep working.
I’m only a little over 3 months into my journey and I know I’m learning. I just can’t always remember what I learned. 🙂 I recently went back home to Illinois to visit for a few days and spent an afternoon with a friend that has been playing for years. He was happy to help me out, but I was still very self conscious about playing in front of him. Maybe someday it will get easier for both you and me.

Yea. It was tough. I kept looking at the case thinking, well it’s been awhile………
Then adult brain took over. It’s not Christmas Eve and your certainly not 8 years old anymore. Just leave it.
Now, had it not gone through different climates to get here, then maybe things would have been different. 🤔

PRS makes a nice guitar. I have an SE acoustic that I bought used a couple months back.

While you may have spent more than you intended, I would think that a Taylor that is well taken care of, is going to hold it’s value pretty well. That’s at least SOME consolation.
