Wow, a lot of emotion to that song. Sorry for your loss; but what a great tribute to your dad.

Rodney, there are definite resonator guitars to be had in the under $700 price range.

I have no personal experience with any of these specifically; but I’ve felt Recording King was a pretty solid guitar company.

I’m surprised you had the experience ou did Chris. I bought 2 guitars from them (a Yamaha Pacifica and a Martin D-X2E). I’ve also bought amps and other guitar accessories as well. I’ve found Sweetwater to be a pleasure to deal with every time I’ve ordered from them.

OMG I hadn’t heard that song since 1970 something. My parents had a country record with multiple artists and it had that song on it.

Thanks for playing and sharing it with us Phil.

I have 3 acoustics. The nicest is a Martin D-X2E. When I’m not using that guitar, it stays in the case. I recently bought a MusicNomad soundhole humidifier from Sweetwater which has been easy to use in the case and helps protect the guitar. My other 2 acoustics are Epiphone which were both under $200. I just keep those on guitar stands in my home office which always stays between 74-78 degrees. Having these less expensive guitars in the stands are nice when you want to try out a new technique or song as you can readily get to them easily. Hanging guitars on the wall looks cool, but not a good way to store guitars in my opinion.

Loraine, thanks for taking the time to watch my video; and for your kind words. I got back to playing again 10 months ago and I’m really enjoying it.

Yes, it’s the picture Boulevard of Broken Dreams. My wife (girlfriend at the time) bought it for me shortly after we first met in 1996. The sign lights up in neon on the diner.

Thanks Bill. I’ll look in to some of the other skill courses that I see available here as well. Looking forward to doing the 5 day challenge each day. I’ve also been doing lessons on Guitareo too and have been challenging myself by downloading the TAB charts from UltimateGuitar.com to apply what I’m learning to music as well too.
