Barbara, your 1st question- I believe refers to the “root ” of a chord being the lowest bass note as root and also serves to name the chord, but the “root” is not always the lowest bass note.
Hope that helps with your 1st question.

Watching that interview start to finish is time well used. 🙂

Let’s get out that other guitar and see if it feels any different. Thinking about going with a resonator and slowing it down just a little, that should be fun.

Yes sir It’s unanimous, very well done!

I heard him mention this once , he puts 1 foot on top of the other, I remember cause I do that also but I usually have the bottom foot sideways and it kinda gets sore from being squished.

YeahBuddy, you had me smiling with a chuckle, that’s a great milestone. It takes me (many many) play throughs to feel progress when I’m working on a piece. I’m sure you will get smoother! My best suggestion is that you might need to be wearing a cowboy hat when you play that tune. Thanks for sharing that with us!! Thumbs up. 👍

I might suggest that you find a guitar chord chart, some are simple with fewer chords while others can be quite extensive with every possible chord option displayed. Find one that is clear and easy for you to understand. There are several different ways to play each chord and a chord chart should help clarify some of the confusion you may be experiencing as you transfer the concepts of a matrix, from paper to your guitars fretboard. Music theory can get overwhelming pretty quickly, just think – baby steps – and try not to over complicate. 😉

That sounds like a real good time! Wish I could’ve been part of that. 😀
