Hey Mike – That Beat Buddy sounds great. Fear not (unless it talks back to you, then run). Have fun with it my friend!

Much appreciation to @Loraine @paul21 @Marisa @Marquita @stevieblues @Fly @Bill_Brown @Philb for your kind remarks. Wishing all TACers a holiday season filled with great joy and guitar playing!

Wishing you Victoria, Tony and Levi a blessed Thanksgiving full of great gratitude and bountiful food too! Appreciate all the TAC team do for us.

@Marisa – excellent rendition of a Radiohead classic! Your vocal octave leap was cool. Watching you do the barre chords has given me inspiration to stop avoiding them. So great to see and hear you again after your hiatus from us! We have many blessings to be grateful for this Thanksgiving within our TAC Community.

@Marty69 accomplishments and progression over the past four years are impressive. I’ve watched many of his forum videos since my entry into TAC nine months ago. Having MG come play with me added to my motivation. Mike’s suggestion is a good one to sometime get together with our fellow TAC guitarist from North Carolina.

MemberDecember 14, 2021 at 7:32 am in reply to: Cats In The Cradle 1.0 (2nd Play for Us)Yes Mike, I attempt to reach within myself to interpret each song. We all have unique singing voices. There is no way, for example, I could vocalize “With a Little Help from My Friends” as Ringo Starr or Joe Cocker. I look forward to the day my guitar skills improve to make songs I do more distinctive.
I know you well enough to believe you have an “engineering mind” which creates a drive to do a song technically perfect to the original. Nothing wrong with that if that gives you the satisfaction of accomplishment. Afterall, it is important for music to bring joy for us, and, hopefully to others listening.
Thank you for your continued guidance and support my friend.

Try not to parrot the original artists. Notice your “Play for Us” postings do much the same. I am finding the more I play the guitar it seems to express my psyche at that moment in time. Maybe an effort to reach within, perhaps into my soul.
Appreciate your comments. Look forward to your next song posting.

Glad to hear you are making progress Mike. I have been working on Christmas songs and that is getting me into the holiday spirit. Also, just participated in my church choir’s cantata presentation this past Sunday. It went well. The link for the first service presentation is Facebook Live | Facebook for Rehobeth UMC, Terrell, NC. Sound quality and sectional mix not great. Cantata starts at the 30:30-minute mark. I’m back row left in the tenor section, next to the young Santa-looking guy – LOL.
Let’s get together to play early in 2022.
Season’s Greetings to you Mike and all in TAC Land.
