@Bill_Brown I know you said electric Rock songs would be ok for me to post but with the people shift of the site not so much so you can check out my Rock music efforts on my You Tube channel. I probably wont be posting electric rock here. I know you might have a better like for it. I renamed it to get around copyright issues but it is Realy Bryan Adams Summer of 69

I missed the 60,s not by much and the tapes I bought were always old and greatest hits or best of something. Biggest bang for a buck multiple hits instead of 1 or 2. So I almost wore out my CCR tape never thought I would ever play sing them so glad I pursued music again. You can relate more to the Summer of 69 song post I did here Thanks for listening in and commenting glad you did.

Nice job @Loraine never heard that one but like the fun story songs getting all the lyrics right is a chore so kudos to you.

Nice job hand clap cant use emojis the new link worked I got paused from reacting all of a sudden no reason for 24hrs then restored no issues since. Some system software could think I was a scammer based on algorithims. You tube gets a lot of scam activity and makes mistakes with user accts. trying to police it.

Thanks @peter_m I would like to pay forward some advice. I struggled with the beat seems like forever they say use a metronome. I tried but singing knowing the chords keeping time was to much for my brain hand dexerity issues. So I rethought how can I get over this 1st I learned stumming in 2/4 3/4 4/4 6/8 played simple chords or muted the guitar. Until I could get that down then I worked on finger pick patterns doing the same thing with flat and finger pick. Then I got some advice buy a drum app but that didnt have what I wanted chords drum other instruments. Tried playing with bands but they dont like having novice skilled people. So I researched found Chordify it plays the tracks in time from the original along with vocals. Shows chords and keyboard layout and has drums and other instruments. Strum with the track first until the chord changes strumming match the track. When I get that far I work on vocals by memory then do the whole song by memory and how it sounds to me. Some I do acoustic some electric rock effects when I get all of that I decide acoustic electric or piano. I use the music to make my mind work throw in some improv note solos and start to post some I get in 3 tries some take way more before I get a postworthy take. Music is a journey I hope by telling you this you dont go through all the frustration I did. So thanks for listening in and commenting hope it helps.

I know @Loraine Glenn C songs are great. The original had so much going on that I didnt have. So I made a campfire unplugged version. Some were not happy that it was not a clone rendition. But the overwhelming majority were good with it. Nice to know I didnt miss the mark. Thanks for listening in and commenting.

Piano is in your future dont need the finger press can play a lot just make a effort to teach your left hand the melody new e pianos can shift the high side to the low note side use the right for base notes and best of all anything you learn on guitar transfers to piano chords notes and the like all the same just different places. Best of luck in your guitar keep on pickin ha ha

Now that is a story in itself @bronhookyahoo-ca truth is I started young but work got in the way so I barely had time to practice. Then illness in my joints took over and I couldnt practice or play. Guess you could say the music was in me because my guitars collected dust but I wanted to sing and play. So I bought a 25 buck piano on clearance and played that until I could figure out a way to heal my hands. Medical system couldnt figure out my issue so I did tried an out the box fix did research applied natural repair used open C chord on guitar as my feedback when I could hold an open C without pain knew I had the right direction. Picked up the guitar and started playing again. Joined guitar teaching courses online courses once my internet connection would allow it. So about 4 years some chords cant use normal finger pos not enough down press. So that there is no buzzing. Got a real nice playing guitar in Nashville that almost plays like an electric. Still have buzzing with my Martin and 12 string but keep trying never give up one day I will play them cleanly again. Guitar any music you do is a Journey you will have ups and downs reward your self when you get small wins learn some finger pick patterns you like and flat pick patterns. Strumming patterns. I mix picking with strumming to fill the song dynamics more. Pick songs you like strum with guitar muted along side the original when you have the count 4 /4 3/ 4 6/ 8 then apply your vocals but above all make it fun enjoy your journey.
