First thing is find a luthier and have the instrument examined. While you’re doing this, go on Amazon or one of the online music outlets and order an in-case humidicant pack and hygrometer. Let’s minimize any more damage. Good luck 😺

Have you tried playing with the dreaded metronome? As much as folks hate it (myself included), it -does- work. Something you can try: Start with one chord, start the metronome at a reasonable tempo (say 60 bpm or so) and just do one down strum per click. Nice and easy. When you’re comfortable with this, try speeding up the tempo, or try doing a down strum and up strum on one tick. You might have to slow down the tempo before you feel comfortable doing this. After a while, you’ll find yourself speeding up the tempo to make the exercise more challenging. Your ultimate goal (one of them anyway), is to develop the ability to “count” the beat in your head, regardless of the tempo. Hope this helps 😺

I wonder if Chrome is the issue here. I use Brave and as of yesterday afternoon, everything is loading correctly

What was the average amount of time spent on the daily routine. I love the mix of techniques covered, and am wondering if this is something I can fit into my practice?

I used to think gaining muscle memory was the stumbling block to learning chord changes, when in reality it was confidence all along. Bravo!

I have a 314ce, which is a Grand Auditorium shape. It’s a full size body, between a Grand Concert and a Grand Symphony. I also have a Taylor GS-mini and a 717e-WHB Builder’s Edition. This link describes the different Taylor body shapes and sizes:

The problem with social forums, as I see it, is words can be misconstrued, or worse. Without spoken inflections and body language, a person’s intended meaning can be mixed-up.

I had been gone from TAC for eight months, and had completely forgotten about the clubs. When I saw mention of them yesterday, I was very excited at the prospect of sitting down and playing with others. Of course, because of the website changes, I couldn’t find any info. That led me to my question, and my confused meaning.
