Hey @Timo67, if you are having fun, you are there! My process may be very different from yours. I like to learn the music with lyrics- this helps my to feel where the chord needs to change. I would suggest having either the music or the singing down cold, so you only need to think about one, if you are having trouble pulling them together. I keep time in my head, if something is intricate, my foot keeps time. I am only playing and singing this past year or so, but I have been musical all my life. Start with a song that you really know well, so you don’t need to learn from scratch. Also, go slowly- one bar, one phrase at a time…then add the next. I hope this helps.
