@CeeCubed, You are in a great family here. I agree with the support I read… and honestly couldn’t add anything other than when I don’t “Get” a lesson for whatever reason, too fast, too complicated, I click on the heart so I can return to it. The rule of thumb is if you have given it your 10 required minutes you can mark it complete. I didn’t believe that when I first asked for help. But Now I see that these lessons return to our screen and trying them a second time around is somehow much easier.
You have the best advisors in @Michelle, @Alfred and all those who posted to your discussion. Also, consider joining the open mic on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday… even if just to watch. You’ll see that we all struggle even the best of them – we’re not afraid to make mistakes because we have support and encouragement of the TAC family… Please don’t ever consider giving up. You’ll be glad once things become clear. Clarity comes over time. It’s like when you learned your alphabet as a kid… now you’re writing on forums… it DOES work!!! You can message me as well. Congratulations!!!! Hard work deserves time off to smell the roses (I see in @Alfred‘s post. I have missed quite a few and plan to catch up little by little. You see, you are teaching as you are learning. That’s what happens in the TAC community. I totally love that you did this. It wasn’t just for you… it was for all of us.

@Michelle-PSL, First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I do know what you’re saying. And you are right to spend time with your husband – maybe equal time – I don’t always spend those hours playing the guitar as I do some prep work and study the material, making notes for fingering new runs, chords etc. That way I can be available in the same room as my husband who reads with the tv on, but I’m not playing the guitar.
I usually announce my practice time or VOM time and he’s ok with that. I slowed down as well, attending probably 2 VOMs weekly. If he’s gone somewhere, I’ll log onto the Zoom. Otherwise, I love peace and harmony and like you, I’ve missed so many years of opportunity to grow musically. Now is my time. But I want to be diplomatic about it all. -
@Michelle-PSL, what a great song to be 97! You have so improved. Your little ukulele turned into a big guitar!!! I like how you handled the transition!
Let’s see, that means Monday or Tuesday you’ll hit the 100th? Congratulations in advance!!! You deserve all of our admiration as making the most progress in 100 days!!!🎤🎸😵

What my break from playing for several years taught me. Even though I was worried I would forget what I learned, I didn’t. It actually settled in and I found playing a little easier. There’s a blessing in doing what is needed. Only you can decide. 😍
