I am in awe of your achievement @Michelle-PSL ! 100 days of constant improvement, some great song choices, and some songs that made me reevaluate my musical prejudices (Prince). My TAC subscription ends today and I’m glad I got to see your 100th day before I go.

Another great song choice @Michelle-PSL . I remember this song from when it first came out and was in constant play on the radio stations. Thanks for the memories.

Great song choice and performance @Michelle-PSL . Joan Baez has turned out some amazing songs.
#100 soon!

Very nice @Michelle-PSL . I used to play a “miscellaneous traditional” fingerstyle solo version of this song, and you’ve inspired me to dig out and play it again. I’m another one who didn’t know Van Morrison covered it.

My first guitar was a Yamaha FG700s and I still own it. As CharlieStrings said, the FG700S is a large dreadnought while your FG150 is equivalent to a 000 size. And I can confirm the FG700S has a solid spruce top. The Yamaha FS700 and it’s replacement the FS800 are closer in size to your FG150.
I’ve never played a FG150 so can’t compare sound, but can say the FG700S sounds far better than you would expect given the very modest price. But your 50 year old FG150 probably sounds pretty good after 50 years of play.

Martin Retro MM12 lights work well but my favorite strings (so far) for the 00-17 are Newtone Monel round core 12-54 strings. Round core strings feel more flexible to me. To my hands, round core lights (12) play like hex core custom lights (11).

👍👍<div>Great performance @Michelle-PSL. Linda Ronstadt is my favorite singer of all time and your cover does her justice. </div>

A recent pop song I’ve heard before! A few years back my twin grandsons lived with us for a year and they were HUGE Imagine Dragon fans. Thanks for playing this song @Michelle-PSL .
Cheering you on towards the 100 day finish line.

@Cadgirl, I live in Nebraska with a mid-West climate similar to Michigan and my guitar area has been in the finished basement for years. My experience has been that humidity is more variable in the basement both winter and summer. I have a whole house humidifier but augmented it with a room humidifier in the basement room where I store my guitars. In the summer, even with the air conditioner running, the basement is noticeable damper than upstairs. But my guitars have easily survived in the basement with no problem.
Having said that, I’m in the process of moving my guitar area upstairs to a spare bedroom. Besides the more stable humidity level, that bedroom is the quietest area in the house (furthest away from the furnace).

Despite the fact that I am not a Prince fan, I enjoyed your cover @Michelle-PSL . As far I as I can remember, this is the first Prince song I’ve ever managed to listen to from start to finish.

I’ve only been a member since 2018 but I’ve reached a similar conclusion. My subscription is over effective tomorrow. I gave it the 4-6 weeks Tony and Levi talked about, but the new TAC, especially the forums, just doesn’t meet my needs anymore.

I’m jealous. I’ve never heard Joan Baez live. My musical highlight from my long gone 20’s was seeing Linda Ronstadt live, followed closely by Judy Collins live.

You are probably right @Michelle-PSL . For years I was that way about Willy Nelson songs. Loved them as long as it wasn’t Willy singing them. Only in the last couple years have I come to appreciate Willy’s unique style. I’m off to search out some Prince covers to test the theory.
