Wow, I absolutely loved that Michelle. I don’t sing but I surprised myself by singing along. My dog gave me a dirty look and left the room but I enjoyed myself.

Nice ragtime @timk1. I’ve flirted with ragtime several times over the years and just recently restarted.

Excellent performance Michelle. I first discovered this song in the movie “Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?” which has multiple versions throughout. If any song ever tempts me to the “dark side” of flat picking it will be Norman Blake’s version, also on the movie soundtrack.

Great job @flyguy. Your story about the ending made me smile since I’ve been there myself.
And the expression on your dog’s face in your profile picture is priceless.

I really enjoyed that Michelle. Thanks for posting the full version.

Sounded great Carol.
And nice silked grain on your guitar top.

Bravo @derrick. I was trying to figure out how to voice very similar feelings and you nailed it with this post. The example I was thinking of was Windows Vista instead of Windows 8 but otherwise everything you wrote really captures my feelings too.

T.J, I’ve been trying to avoid discussing the new site but your comment on the Beta Test triggered me. When I was in the military, we were taught “no battle plan survives contact with the enemy”. The second half of my adult life has been in IT and our equivalent of that military saying goes something like “no migration survives first use by end users”. A good Beta or UAT (user acceptance test) would have caught many of these glitches before they went into production. The IT folks just can’t catch everything, and I say that as a IT guy working two migrations this weekend (UAT completed today). Great point T.J (I won’t try tagging you 🙂).
