Congrats on a year.
Congrats on signing up again.

There are many sites on YouTube and that’s mostly what they do. Why did you spend the money to reup? You can learn songs all day long for free.

What I hope for you during the next year is that you can answer this question yourself. I think you have missed the whole point of the TAC program if you can’t answer this question now. One of the big facets of the TAC method is small wins. Actively look for those incremental improvements and celebrate them and share them with us. Had you done that, you wouldn’t wonder what you could “show for it”.
Lastly, most instructors teach songs because that’s what most students want. And those students stay students forever and continue needing someone else to arrange songs for them so they can play them. The reason I believe TAC is the best guitar instruction site available is because after 2 or 3 years with TAC, it is common to be able to arrange your own cover songs, or even write your own songs. And you can play even the songs you already knew with much more polish and style and embellishment.
I’m happy that you’ve done TAC for a year. I’m happy that you signed up again. I’m sad that you are unable to see and explain and show what you have gained. But I know you have gained something from TAC. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have signed up again. What’s sad is that you can’t see it.

I agree, @WAMGOC , today’s lick was very cool. Messing around with these licks, and any of the lessons really, helps us get comfortable with it and find ways to modify it and eventually integrate it into our playing. This is a great win, congratulations.
I feel like I finally understand what’s going on with this lick well enough to use it in a song. I understand well enough, anyway, that I know I can recreate this lick rather than trying to remember it.

I just contacted Victoria in Support and got the straight scoops. Acoustic Tuesday is not aired live, but is taped. And yes, the initial release is Tuesday at 10 am MST. So you were in the time frame of seeing it “first” and being able to make comments “first”.

Yeah, I got several things to say.
First, WOW!!!
I thought you were good when I heard you play your original songs on the VOM. This is AMAZING!
Second, who is singing with you on “Walking in the Rain”? To have someone singing this song with you makes it so much more special. I just love it.
Third, Wow. Ok, I’ll get over being overwhelmed eventually. I’m still listening to songs I haven’t heard. I’m on the 3rd song. So maybe I’ll just get it over with: song 1) Wow; song 2) Wow; song 3) Wow; song 4) I’m sure it will be another Wow. Ditto for song 5.
Did I mention I love your music?
I guess it’s time to mention that I paid $5 for 5 songs. I feel I should apologize, but at this time it’s all I can afford. (Fixed income, next month, etc, etc).
Third, I have to mention Brandon. It sounds like he has done a professional job. Great songs, great album. great production.
Oh, yeah, song 4 was another Wow. I’m on song 5. This song is not a Wow. This song is a *sigh*. I want to smile, I want to cry, I want to say it’s a lovely song. Thank you.
Fourth, the link “terrymutter.bandcamp” goes to a page that says “you are going to a page outside of facebook”. I have to copy and past the URL in order to avoid facebook kidnapping my request. I won’t both to print what I think of facebook. I will say that if not for TAC and JMG I would not engage in social media.

Yeah, ok, so that’s a little tricky, @brhodes . Acoustic Tuesday isn’t the same as Acoustic Life. So I did a search in Google for Acoustic Life, not Acoustic Tuesday. Then, I got several choices, but I scrolled down to “acousticlife.tv”. That is where the show actually lives. From there, it is ported to YouTube, FaceBook, and even TAC. If you go there, you can do searches for anything and it’s so much easier to find what you want. After all, there are now over 200 taped shows.

Yes, @Greg_F_Lee , that is my understanding, that at one time the AT show was live streamed. But, I could be wrong.

I’m sorry I didn’t have time to help you out earlier. It took me only to searches. First, I searched for “father’s guitar” and got nothing. Then I searched for “oh my sweet carolina” and got it at the top. I’m glad you found it and I’m glad to be reminded. I did see this episode.
