@Chris99 I have had experience with Sweetwater. I ordered a Martin guitar from them. It was delivered in a timely manner. No complaints here. Subsequently, I’ve ordered accessories, and I have not had any problems. If you are having issues, I suggest calling and talking with someone in their customer service department.

Hi @ellenbelshin23gmail-com All of us in the TAC family have their own approach, it seems. Typically a question posted in the “Forums” will elicit a variety of replies. Well, here’s my two-cents-worth: I have been a TAC member for over a year and a half. I’ve never been able to master each daily challenge. After several months of struggling, I decided to quit stressing out about it. I will watch a lesson, try it for 10 minutes, and then move on if it’s frustrating or unappealing. If I enjoy it, I’ll keep on keeping on! But , if it’s causing me grief, I will STOP. I often skip lessons I have no interest in. Instead, I’ll work on challenges I previously marked as a “Favorite.” I have decided to concentrate on material that RESONATES with me, and I have decided to play what brings me PLEASURE. In my opinion, that’s a “WIN. WIN.” After all, this is supposed to be FUN! Right!?

I’ve spent a few minutes in the store trying it out, on a couple of occasions. I like the way it sounds. I think it would be a nice travel guitar, for sure. I wish I could take it on vacation for a week or two and really get a feel for it, but that’s not gonna happen. 😊

👏 One of my favorites, too.

I like that song. It is one I’m learning, but I’m still workin’ on my chord changes. You did well. I enjoyed your performance.👍

Nice rendition of a John Prine classic. 👏

Well done! I enjoyed your picking and singing👏

Hi @Kinga
I am now into my 2nd year of TAC. As I was nearing the end of my first year of membership, I thought about quitting. I extended my membership another year, in part because I was set-up for auto renew and I didn’t make the necessary changes to my account.
Over the past 16 months, I’ve learned a few licks, had some fun, and shown a little improvement. Give me a pat on the back for that. Tony would call that a win, for sure. But, many times I have struggled, felt lost and became confused. When I have struggled, had questions or needed assistance, it would have been nice to turn to the instructor @Tpolecastro for specific answers. Unfortunately, that’s not possible. Tony doesn’t offer one-on-one guidance, does he?
There’s nowhere to go for support, except to ask for help from fellow TAC members. It’s wonderful that fellow students are willing to help and offer opinions. But, often I have found that opinions vary, issues remain, and as a result, I remain stymied.
I’m thinking of adding one-on-one instruction from a local in-person teacher as a way to supplement my TAC membership and help me along my guitar journey. I dunno… I’m still trying to figure it all out.
There’s value to my TAC membership. I’ll continue. But, something’s missing. That’s my two cents worth.
Best wishes to you, and good luck!

@Loraine You are correct. I was unsure. Thank you! I asked and I did get a prompt reply from Customer Support: “You own FW for life, so even after you end your TAC Membership, you just log in the same way to continue accessing the Fretboard Wizard course.”
🙂

@Loraine I am not sure that is the case. I expect to learn an active membership is required, to retain entry into that course. I will reach out to Customer Service for confirmation. Because I would very much like to retain Fretboard Wizard and take the course I pre-paid for when I feel I’m ready.

@F350Dually I am coming up on my renewal again in October. I’ve been thinking it over, and I’m still undecided… Should I renew or not? Hmm. There are things I like about TAC, but other aspects not so much.
Unfortunately, I bought the Fretboard Wizard option when I initially signed up, but I haven’t taken the course yet. I do not think that was money well spent. I am under the impression I will not be able to access that course, if I do t renew.

- Nut width: 1.75″ (44.45 mm)
- Scale length: 24
