Welcome! There are a lot of choices to help us play here; from the 30 day challenge, to the skill courses, and the daily challenges that run Monday through Friday. Check out where people are playing on the Forum also; and there are VOM (virtual open mics also). I haven’t been able to be involved in them yet, but that live connection sounds good. I hope you enjoy your journey!

Hello @J.Dubs , welcome to TAC!
I may not be understanding you right; but in each video at the lower right hand corner, there are some controls. One of those has a 1x. You can adjust that down, to slow the tempo down to less beats per minute (.5 at half speed for example), or speed it up to go faster (1.5 for example). There are 7 different speed choices. That way you can play along with the “play” of each video at a speed you are comfortable with, and speed up as you get better.

Greetings, and welcome to TAC
I don’t believe there is a specific course within TAC designed to teach tab reading. Within the lessons, Tony will point out what fingers to use and on what string and fret (which is in harmony with what is on the tab), so you can learn it according to each lesson, but I know that may be confusing if you aren’t familiar with it at all. Here is a web page with an overview.

Thank you both for taking the time to answer. I remember seeing you were having issues Lorraine. I hope you’re doing better.
It’s not so much pain as stiffness at this point, which limits my playing. I do have some arthritis, being only a month from 70, that seems to come with the territory. I didn’t want to consider that. 😀
I just hadn’t had any issues until recently. I have done, and do stretches. I will keep trying to keep it limber; limiting my playing but not stopping yet. If it keeps up, I will get some medical help.
Again, thank you so much for the input. -
Sounding great! Congrats on NGD!

Most excellent! I really like John Hiatt. I did Slow Turning on here last year sometime (just with guitar). It’s a fun song to do. I can’t sing well like you can though. Great job, and nice use of backing instruments. I really enjoyed that!
