Very nice. I just played that one from memory (sans capo, so 2 whole steps lower) a little while ago. I always love those flatpicking tunes and I probably play this one once or twice a month, so it stays fresh in my mind. Very nice tempo, and great technique.

Well done, Beth. Two great tunes. I just played through both of them about an hour ago.

Well done Michelle. Hard to believe you’re 12 weeks into this already. That is tremendous ambition.

“I really really want to … sing with confidence while I play (no need for a perfect voice, right) …”
No, there’s no need for a peferct voice, but in my case, I depend on a strong (but far from perfect l) voice to cover up some of my weakness playing the guitar! Congrats on the first of many happy years with TAC.

Congrats, Phil. Here’s to many more. See you at a VOM real soon, I hope.

Now that is a well-composed photo!!!

Actually I don’t think there’s any way to “get there from here,” i.e. no links within this site other than those members have shared in these posts to answer a frequently recurring question. So it would have been difficult for anyone to find the link themselves. You might want to bookmark that page to which @Michael-K73 provided the link.
Great to see you’re still here, Melanie.

I just had a really deep sense of deja vu, having no way to find PMs. Then it occurred to me I was on my iPhone. I switched to my iPad and found I again had the ability to navigate to PMs. So it seems like iPhone is pretty much an un-supported device. Maybe I’m in the minority, but I rarely use a laptop for connecting to TAC. I am assuming that TAC is optimized for a laptop environment.

If you’re truly interested in learning about modes, I strongly encourage you to grab this resource and find a way to print or copy it before it is lost forever. There is some excellent discussion here in the prior incarnation of the forum. https://tac.tonypolecastro.com/topic/28718-can-someone-explain-what-modes-are-should-i-be-using-them/#comment-302092 It is some of the best free education you’ll find.

All I want to say at the moment is that modal music makes the world a better place for me.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit, Alfred. I realize I’m long-winded, but I am passionate about learning music.

Still seems to be there at least for the time being. See https://tonypolecastro.com/?post_type=topic&p=2083091/#post-2083100.
