Wonderful – David you nailed it! And you looked so relaxed, you obviously have practiced this a lot and know it by heart. The singing was very consistent, I didn’t see any points where you appeared strained. Thanks for sharing this.

Honestly, David, the guitar is fabulous, but it is you who deserves the credit of playing it so very, very well. You are very talented and hard-working, and I hope you will enjoy a remarkable partnership with this lovely guitar!

Excellent co-ordination between fretting hand and picking hand – wish I could have seen your right hand in the video! Well done, Bob.

Thanks for sharing Chapin’s story. I’ve always liked this song and you covered it very well. Looking forward to version 2.0!

I think it is lovely and I recognize the tune… You never lost the plot because of any slight mistake, and the timing was good, very consistent, and pleasant tone.

Very nice! It sure has a unique sound. You probably would regret selling it, especially as you’ve taken the time to master 12 string, and that is a huge achievement.

David, this is wonderful. Congratulations! Your hard work has paid off. I sent the Youtube link to a friend who is dallying about taking up the guitar again, I hope it puts a rocket in the correct place and gets her inspired.

Another idea I had – those Emails Tony sends for feedback on how it is going – you can reply to those. Don’t click the link, just reply as per a normal Email and tell them how it is going for you. I’ve done this and got useful links sent to me. They may have a tutorial link that would help, or be able to help you via Zoom. You have actually highlighted a little gap in the TAC program which would easily trouble absolute beginners. Perhaps this is something that could be addressed?

You may need to get help to set the initial tune of the guitar – with the new strings. I’m not familiar with the Snark X but an electronic tuner is a great help. The strings are from thickest to thinnest – low E, A, D, G, B, high E. It may be that you are winding the thin strings an octave or two higher. Once they are in tune they really don’t move all that much from one use to the next. Perhaps a visit to the local guitar shop? You could search the membership list to see if there are any TAC members in your location.
