@stevieblues Thanks! I am working on harmonies and adding some simple instrumentation to add some interest since it is kind of repetitive 😆
-
Thanks Phil ! PT starts this week and I plan on approaching it just like the guitar – daily practice – unfortunately not as enjoyable 😄
-
thanks Phil!

Thanks Fletch!

Kurt – thanks for the kind words! Loving the journey!

Thanks – I love the phrase “word pictures” – I think of that phrase a lot when I am writing but it is elusive most of the time.

@Bill_Brown Thanks for listening! I am still noodling on it and thinking through instrumentation. Going in for a new knee tomorrow which is going to slow things down a bit but I will have plenty of time with nothing else to do but think about it 😆

@Kitman you nailed it – that was exactly what was going through my mind when I wrote it – not taking away from the great artists in history but as you said there is so much beauty around us !

@GerryB56 Thanks!
And I have not listened to that song of his – will check it out. Thanks for the tip!

thanks! glad you are going check out Blaze – he was an interesting and talented character.

Marquita, Thank you for the kind words. I did not know that Merle recorded it. I like his version as well. Blaze is one of those artists that just never really saw much acclaim until years after they were gone. Blaze wrote this song in 1979. Merle made it a hit. John Prine made Clay Pigeons a hit as well. I love the stripped away style of Blaze – check this one out….. beautiful.
