I stumbled on this same video a short while ago – it’s really well done. I enjoyed it so much that I’ve started listening to some of the non-traditional music (e.g., NoGood Boyo). Perhaps @Cariad can give us some tips about who to listen to.

That was great, LC! It’s good to hear your posts again. This would be a great number to finish a set – at this rate you’ll be gigging soon.

We haven’t met, but I can imagine an outdoor get together before too long. There is a lot of cross-pollination with Friends with Strings from the Philadelphia area, also. I’m pretty sure we can locate the usual suspects, but unfortunately Chuck H has moved to Florida.
I appreciate your view about the new website. I have to believe that the new direction is to encourage the social community, while letting or expecting the community to support itself. The virtual open mics are thriving, and I am wondering how long it will be before more of the social aspect is established on fb and Instagram.

Very, very nice Erik!

Moisture softens the callouses on my fretting hand, so I’m careful to let them dry before I play. If they become rough and catch the strings, I sometimes use fine sandpaper to smooth them a little.
I can’t seem to keep nails on my picking hand; there are just so many hazards encountered in a day that I seems to break them often. I try to keep them shaped with a coarse file, followed by a finer one. Sometimes I can use my nails when I play, but I tend to play music that does not require a classical touch and I rely more on the meat of my fingertip. I’ve tried a lot of fingerpicks, but I haven’t found any that gave me the tone I want and didn’t bother my playing. I’m giving the Pro-Pick F-tone picks a try now.

Cheers to you! You’ve got to love it when things come together like that.

Keep try’n. I’m having the same problem tonight.
The last time this happened it resolved itself for no reason that could be explained from my actions. I expect it will again.

Beautiful guitar @ErikBog. Congratulations! I especially liked it fingerpicked, but yes indeed it’s a great all rounder.
