Hi @Ryan_1cor13 , you got this man👍, it’s hard to learn and memorize music and words. It may take longer than you think, but slow and steady wins the race.

Agree with @Crabby and @Alisa , discouragement could creep in and you may need to take a break. Learning simpler songs at that point isn’t a bad way to go, then come back to the other song. A nice easy song that I learned (when I was frustrated learning some Beatles tunes) is “Horse With No Name” – easy, 2 chords, just had to memorize the words.

Hi @NW7 , I agree with @Crabby , It’s all about finger placement – make sure you’re fretting the strings with your finger tips – not the pad👍 to reduce the chances of the fretting finger(s) from touching adjacent strings😎 Hope that helps!

Hi @DanCarpenter , So the final assignment of Fretboard Wizard is that you have to write a song and perform it on the Forums. From knowledge of previous lessons in the course, combined with the lessons in the final segment, Tony shows a formula for the most common ways to figure out a melody, figure out a chord progression and put them together to make a song – but you have to come up with the lyrics😱

That’s what you’ll find here, the tools, to do your own thing👍
