Here is a link to “The Old Forums” https://tac.tonypolecastro.com/
If @JAWS you look at the “Stage 1: Learn the Basics” forum, you’ll see a section called “submit your 30Days results” – click on that and you’ll get a whole bunch of examples!
Good Luck & congrats on your 30 Days to Play!

Great small win @Alfred – family is one of the greatest things we have in life. To have music and family together is a BIG win – win. Remember that moments like those “are the good old days”! 🤩

yes @Goat , if you haven’t been playing guitar for a while, or if you’re brand new to it – you should really consider going through the “30 Days to Play” course 1st. I’ve been playing (on & off) for over 45 years – when I joined TAC, the 1st thing I did was the 30 Days to Play course. It allowed me to measure my skills and abilities and see where I stood – in my own eyes! From there, I jumped into the skills courses and eventually started doing the Daily Challenges – some are hard, some – not so much.
The important thing is not to let this stuff stress you out! If your not having fun doing it, after 10 minutes, mark it complete and practice something else that you can have fun with. If that daily lesson is something you really want to work on later, then “fave” it so you can go back to it when you’re ready.
P.S. You don’t want to miss the “Ice Dancing” lesson coming up in a couple weeks – once you do the lesson, you’ll see what I mean!

Hey @DocBob – Please don’t feel too bad – I did get into a break-out room, but got cut off before I could even introduce myself to the others in “my room”. It had to do with not having the latest zoom update (trouble unmuting myself) – and because most of my “room mates” ignored the 2 minute time limit – so in that regard, you didn’t miss very much – IMHO. I think there were too many people there to even have a chance to say anything at all.

@William-S , they said the replay would be on the “blog” – what blog, I don’t know, but the BIG DEAL is that you can win some good stuff if, 1) you complete your profile 100% as laid out on this new platform: 2) you submit/post your guitar/practice routine on the “Show Off Your Routine” forum before 4/30/21. Tony has a template post at that forum as something to follow – they request a picture of you with you playing a guitar in the room that you do your practice. The top prize is a Gibson and the 2nd & 3rd prizes are Taylor GS Minis – 1 with cherry? back & sides – the other with mahogany back& sides if I remember correctly.

Hey @Cadgirl , Don’t forget that once you have the key, then you should also look at the 3rd and 5th degree of that key’s scale, considering the 1,4&5 chords of those degrees. Play those chords with the tunes you’re trying to figure out – I liked to do it using E & A shaped barre chords (up and down the neck) to find melodies that worked. Using the low E to find chords is good, but sometimes you need to use the high E as well. Good luck!

Hey @JoeW – where you goin’ with that guitar (gun) in your hand? (lol)
Seriously Joe, that was absolutely awesome – on the fly??? 👏 👏 👏
Bravo!!!

Hey @Harley13 , once you get the access issues sorted out – take the Fretboard Wizard course – you won’t regret it!

RIGHT ON @Michelle_in_PSL ! I think you hit that nail on the head.
Alot of people are posting on Tony”s post – it needs to be a separate post in that forum to qualify for the prizes.
-
Also, @LukeCipers , let me say that one of the best things about FW is you can do it at your own pace – there is no time frame associated with it – once you sign up, it”s yours for as long as you’re a member! Check me on that @MommaTAC !
-
Hi @Michelle_in_PSL – I did get an email about the event, but you had to go to the TAC login page and go to the Daily Challenge page where there was a message at the top – in orange – and click on that to get the zoom meeting log-in info
