Hello @DrB , welcome to TAC. I hope you have a great journey here. I also have arthritis in my hands and fingers (among other places) and some times the pain and swelling within the joints gets to a point that its hard to make an open C chord. When things get that bad for me, I resort to topical creams for some relief. I’ve used prescription as well as OTC medical pain relief creams, one is not better than the other, but the OTC ones are easy to come by and less expensive IMHO. I rub the cream thoroughly on my hands and fingers and wait for it to take affect (maybe 1/2 hour) and then wipe my hands off before I pick up my guitar. Just something to consider.

Hi @Val , Have you tried looking on Taylor’s website for factory authorized repair shops near you. I know I can do that on Martin’s website, I would think you should be able to do it on Taylor’s site also.

Hi @1967kerbygmail-com , welcome to TAC. Hope you enjoy your journey here. I think Bruce has given you some good advice with the courses in the skills section. I would add Foundations of Fretboard Navigation as another one that you should definitely take. If you’re retired and have the time to spend, I would suggest doing the Daily’s – perhaps in the morning – and then do some skills courses later in the day or visa-versa, it’s up to you because this is your journey. If you feel you don’t have extra time, then IMHO, you should concentrate more on the skills courses first until you build some confidence before going onto the Daily’s. I know that’s contrary to what’s said in the 5 Day Guitar Routine, but I believe that building your skills is an essential part of the journey. The Daily’s repeat over time, so it’s not like you’ll miss something there. Just my humble opinion.

I just started this morning and couldn’t stop doing the lessons. I took a couple of breaks, but it had me so intrigued that I kept coming back for more. I ended up finishing the first week this afternoon. I’m super pumped about this format and excited to start week two tomorrow🤩

Hey @GerryB56 , you can log in on your cell phone each day you’re on vacay, and keep that day streak goin’😱 That’s what I’ll be doing when I take my family to a beach vacay in a couple of weeks – I’ll just log-in from my phone each day to keep my 500+++ day streak goin’🤩
