You have a musical gift, and it’s so fun to hear and see you putting the foundational skills to functional use in songs. I think many of us struggle with how to do this. I look forward to continuing to watch and listen to your musical journey.

@brian2501 – Amen to that – not feeling obligated and having the freedom to have fun and do what’s right for you at a given moment. Great win!

MemberFebruary 10, 2022 at 2:26 pm in reply to: Dungeon of Despair solo, over backing track@Archie750 Woohoo! Your 1st improv and fabulously done! Congrats on facing your fear and stepping up and out. I thought you did a great job, and it was very melodic with the backing track. I didn’t notice your nail scraping the strings. Just make sure your nails are trimmed back on your fretting hand, and consciously think about the placement of your index finger and try to reposition it where it’s not scraping the strings. This will feel awkward at first, but once the muscle memory sets in, you’ll be free to move about without interference. And as I’m known to say, Keep on plunking (instead of plucking).

I really like the look of carbon fiber guitars. Congrats on the move and finding such a great guitar for that climate. Have fun with it!

That is so exciting @BecerraP ! The first time will be as exciting each time. Soon, you’ll have found that sweet spot and be able to play that barre chord nearly perfect each time. Remember the feeling, especially if you go through periods where you can’t seem to play them at all. Great work!

The difference between fingerpicking and flatpicking was amazing. I really liked the sharpness and melody with flatpicking. Great improv @Jonathandavid !

She keeps saying that it’s not a TAC issue, but with so many people having the same issue, I’m pretty sure it’s a server issue on their end. But the more people that mention it to them, the more they’ll take it seriously and look into it on their end.

Whoops, I misunderstood. Sorry about that @bugmeist. Maybe you can write support with a suggestion to add that feature.

Great to hear. I have the tabs if you need them.

@Ping I have Mel Bay’s Guitar Chords, which I really like because it breaks chords up into the type of chord they are. You can probably find it on Amazon or by Googling the title. It’s not a thick book, but it has a lot in it.
