@Cadgirl I have a few guitars in alternate tunings that I just use for those tunings. It gets tiresome changing tuning all the time (and forgetting to tune it back to standard tuning when done & wondering why nothing sounds right when I pick it back up). It is a truly great win!

I keep meaning to go through the 5 day challenge (that’s one of the newer skills courses), and maybe now I’ll commit to it. Great win on your commitment within TAC @Guitargeezer-Jack !

Hi @Noncenx The trick is to very lightly place your hand or fingers over the strings to create the muted effect. The harder you fret, the more string notes will chime out, so ease up a bit until they’re muted.

@Notn2bars Welcome to the TAC community!
That’s what they refer to as the bluegrass G chord. It’s just another way of making a G chord

That’s a great win @Duane58 ! The first time is daunting, but now you know how to do it, and it’ll be a breeze next time. It’s like having a new guitar when strings are replaced.

@aisenstadt@msn.com Glad you posted, because I love when I hear of success playing some of the old song vault songs. I haven’t tried Deep River Blues yet. You’ll have to share a video with us once you’ve learned it. Nice overall win!

@CaptainFuture Yes, you’ll have to take Fretboard Wizard through TAC to get lessons on the Nashville Number System. Since Fretboard Wizard isn’t currently being offered (and assuming you didn’t purchase it when you joined), you can always Google easy lessons on the Nashville Number System, and some videos and websites should show up to choose from.

Nice win @Stickmaker ! And yes, the Gm chord can be challenging, but keep working at it, and you’ll eventually get it.

Hi @solitaire , and welcome to the TAC community! Yes, the songs referred to are just the lessons taught in the 30 days to play.
As for the daily challenge, it is up to you whether you do them simultaneously with the 30 days to play. When I started, I was completely new to guitar and I focused solely on the 30 days to play, and afterward the Next Six chords, and then I began the daily challenges. That was pretty much all I could handle at the time. Some weeks are easier than others, but then again if it weren’t a challenge we’d all become bored and move on to something else.
Have fun with the 30 days to play course!!

Great wins @Timbothirroul ! Soon you’ll have an arsenal of chords under your belt. Keep up the great work!

Really nicely played instrumental @Marty69 . Great strumming!

🤣😂 Unfortunate, huh?

It is a tricky one @Moonhare . I say keep posting unless you hear directly from TAC that it’s not permitted. I probably wouldn’t have been called out on it, but I was receiving an error and took a screenshot to show Support. That is when they made the comment to me that it was against the Rules of Behavior. They probably wouldn’t have found out otherwise, unless they were policing every comment on the forums, which would be too onerous.

No hurt feelings – probably won’t completely stop me (short term memory loss) 😉
