He was definitely a great lyricist, amd his compositions were simple but complicated at the same time. Good stuff.

@Fab813 When you do a search in the members section, it is best to make it as broad as possible. For instance, simply search by state and not by city. It will bring up a greater number of results and not limit you to just a city.

Welcome to TAC @TheRealRobbo ! As @alfred_d pointed out, muting is lightly laying your hand or finger(s) across the E strings without adding pressure. The rhythm just comes with lots of practice. Sometimes mine sounds good, and other times it simply sounds like plllfffff (doo doo). 🙂 Hang in there, and you’ll be surprised how 8 months goes by and the lessons rotates back around, and all of a sudden something that gave us problems beforehand is now doable.

That was awesome @DiscostewLA ! I liked that there were so many change-ups in style of playing. Absolutely loved it. Did you learn this from a YouTube tutorial? Can you share it with us?

Hi @Deirdre I’m so sorry you had a crack in your baby. I agree that most of the time it is best to have a humidifier, but to store your guitar in their case with humidipaks or something similar. I do tend to keep a few hanging on my wall and one in the stand that I use the most. The only reason I do this is because I have a large humidifier in the room and keep it at around 50% humidity year round. I have an Aircare 831 000 whole house humidifier just for my guitar room, which is only about 120 sq. feet. It gives me the comfort of knowing it will work, and it has a very large reservoir for water. I actually have 2 of these – one down stairs and the guitar room one, and I have smaller humidifiers in all the bedrooms too. It’s very comfortable in the winter.

Hi @Canadart Two things — All the lessons rotate back around, so if you happen to miss a lesson or two, you’ll see them again in 8-9 months. This is also a great way to gage progress as time goes by. Are you able to learn and play lessons faster and easier than the last time – and yes, you will remember many of them.

Another option is if you know the name of the challenge, you can search someone else’s favorited lessons, and watch the video that was saved. I tend to favorite all the lessons so I have access to them. You could go on my profile and under favorites bring up all the saved lessons. If you know the day and name of the lesson, you could find it and take the lesson.

Great original @Marty72 . It fliwed continuously and had dome interestinfchange ups throughout.

I was torn as to whether your mental journey was emoting anger based on the hard strumming and volume, but the chords are major chords and too bright for that. What is your interpretation of the music?

I would be interested in hearing the music more lightly strummed to get an idea of what other emotions it might convey.

Happy NGD @AlteredGoods !! How exciting to get a free guitar just for purchasing strings. The guitar looked and sounded nice. Your noodling n is exactly the type of stuff that Tony is looking for on Wednesday improvisation. . Good job. I especially liked the percussive slap.

@MisterBee I’m sorry you’re having such a difficult time contacting GFV. I’ve heard good and bad regarding communication from the different locations. I think most are run by volunteers, and that might explain why no one has gotten back to you. Have you considered going to their location, and talking in person?. Also, I think there is an application online at the main GFV website that you can download, fill out and send it to them.

There are several TAC members that have indicated they teach at GFV. The 2 that come to mind may or may not be TAC members still. I’m tagging them just in case they still are. Maybe they’ll chime in.
