I used to focus so much on the number of consecutive days, and then I missed a day and thr counter started over. At first I was devastated that my streak was broken, but then I thought what matters is that I simply start afresh and keep moving forward. I’ve reset my counter a few times because I was out of town or had other work or personal commitments, but I always came back and maintain my routine.
Keep up the great work!

Welcome to TAC, and congratulations on completing the 30 days to play course. I don’t see any reason why you can’t do the Daily Challenge in conjunction with Skills courses. The dailies cover different skillsets each week (chords, rhythm, scales, etc). You’ll find some more difficult than others, but give them your best effort for at least 10 minutes per day (then mark complete), and you will get better and grow as you do them.

I just happened to have several songs I’ve been working on, and Im having too much fun with the new guitar that I went haywire. Was fun!! Im becoming more comfortable taping, and I don’t care as much about my flaws. That helps me be vulnerable and courageous in posting.

Thanks @albert_d , and glad I could play something special for you. I love this song, and I was having a good time playing the song on the 12 string. The song sounded good on it.

Thank you @the-old-coach ! This is a favorite of mine too. The 12 string is a lot of fun, and the drone chord (E chord with E7 on upstroke) sounds great on the 12. You’ll get to the point you can play the 12 string without a lot of thought of finger placement at some point down the road. Keep practicing and it becomes second nature.

That made me feel so good – thank you very much Marissa for your positive support. 🙂

Thanks Marisa – someday I’ll be at a place where playing and singing aren’t as difficult for me. I do enjoy it – especially this song, which is one of my favorites. I just think things came so easily to you and you’ve run away with playing and singing, and I want to get to that place. 🙂

Really appreciate your listening and encouraging me.

Thank you so much for jumping on this bandwagagon. Welcome to TAC. I hope you have fun! My tremors come and go, and sometimes I can play and other times I can’t. I tend to strum more than fingeror flatpicking, because the tremor aren’t as noticeable and intrusive. It’s good to keep the hands busy though. I think it slows the progression. My tremors aren’t to the. Point I would need medication. I’m on enough meds for other health matters, and I wonder if the tremors aren’t a result of medication I’m on.
