Martin has the X-Series Special with a sitka spruce top. They sound really nice, and are within your budget. If you shop around you can get them for about $550.

When I started it was the same for me. I still completed the 30 day challenge but did it in 5 or 6 days. I generally knock out the daily challenge, then go into skills and work on the groups of lessons for each skill. I’m still working through those. There is also the fretboard wizard. I have not done it yet, but it seems to be quite popular. Welcome, and good luck on your journey.

I like the look without the pick guard, but would personally put it on…unless you like the wear look from the pick hitting the top…some people dig it.

Man that’s rough. I had an issue where I got kicked out after the mini groups, but other than that I really enjoyed using Zoom.

The progress party was good, and definitely worth watching, especially the last 10 minutes.

Most of what I’ve learned sounds really good on my electric guitar, especially the finger picking. I actually started the program using my Les Paul, but over time I bought a nice acoustic and barely touch my Les Paul now…it’s been months, while I play my acoustic every day.

I had to switch the Google Chrome. I have a Mac and use Safari, and my daily challenges won’t show up in Safari.

Whee are you seeing the daily lesson? When I log in the daily challenge screen is blank. That being said congrats on the win. The F barre is still a rough one for me.

Yeah, I was using Safari. Couldn’t get it to work no matter what I did. Ended up going with Chrome, which is working fine. The daily lessons are working good for me, but the forums are super slow.
