Wooden Ships – CSN cover
Posted by David on November 15, 2021 at 8:00 amThere has been a lot of questions about the Helicon harmonizer I use and this Crosby, Stills and Nash song really shows how multiple harmonies can work with the acoustic guitar. I love this classic CSN song.

Great cover!!! Can you give more details about the TC Helicon harmonizer you use? There are different levels and yours sounds great!!! I am definitely interested. I see them on Sweetwater. Are they elsewhere that you would recommend?

Marquita I just have the TCHelicon harmonizer. It has many options and this was set at the 3rd and 5th octave above my singing. It gets its pitch from the guitar and my voice. I bought mine online used for 125 dollars but they are usually a couple hundred I think. Hope this helps. I love mine.

Very well done! I love that harmonizer. Might have to go on a wish list.

That was a great rendition @deagle 👏👏👏 Nice pickin’ an’ a strummin’👍👍 (I wish the camera shot could have included your fretting hand)🤔 Awesome display of the harmonizer with your vocals🤩🤩 that was really cool😎 Thanks for posting David, I really enjoyed listening – it brought back some good memories🎸😱🎸

Very nice !
which harmonizing setting are you using on the Helicon? It sounds perfect.

On this song I use the 5th and 3rd above. With each song I play around with the settings until I like the effect and then I write it down.

Another great cover, David! 👏🏼Been a while since I’ve heard that song. Love the use of the harmonizer. 👍🏼Perfect for this song. One day I’ll get into pedals.

David, very good cover of CSN and the harmonies really did work incredibly well.
It would be interesting to have the video contain a PIP to show your working the Helicon while you’re playing. (way above my abilities btw)
good job 👍
