#1 I have been working on cement mixer this week finally got it, slow but it’s working

#2 Put new strings on, I’m always amazed at the difference it makes with a new set of strings, Earthwood light 11-52 have never used these before so far so good

Way to stick it out. It really does feel great to finally get the hang of something challenging. The best part is it will start to get easier.

    John-

Cement Mixer is a real bugger to me. I’ve worked on that one for 5, 10-minute sessions, and it’s just somehow confusing to me- even when I slow it way down.

I just can not seem to consistently get those pinches- (on two adjacent strings)- to sound even between the two- and then there are the hammer-ons—- and offs.

I can play it, but it’s inconsistent, bad, and there is no speed that slow.

I’m gonna give it maybe 3 more sessions then say the heck with it regardless. If I move on without mastering it, it would only be the second time in over 4 months. However– I hardly ever get to “Tony-speed”………🤨

Anyway– great job on the wins— both of them!

That’s great @mkjohnsons (Mark) that you’re trying to do this. Don’t give up – slow and steady wins the race! You won’t realize this now, but in several months or so down the road – we’ll be doing this lesson again – and that’s when it’ll come together for you and you’ll be able to see the progress you’ve made for yourself – it will happen
