  • Getting back in the saddle

Posted by Ernesto on January 8, 2023 at 6:59 am

My small win is that I’m playing guitar again.

I hadn’t played in almost 2 years, and one of my New Year resolutions was to pick it up again.

I’m a TAC lifetime member, so I decided to jump back into TAC as well, and here I am. The site is pretty much new to me since I stopped my TAC journey around the time the site and the forum were updated, so I need to explore it still to get comfortable, but I definitely will.

    Big win being back!

Wow, @Ernesto , I always wondered what happened to you. You had been so active. And then you just stopped? Life happens, right?

I very happy for you that you are back and playing guitar again.

Life happened with fury, but let’s hope I can stick to it this time 😀

Its been too long Ernesto! Glad the guitar is back in your arms. Wishing as alway peace and fast progress.

Say, there must be a story in how you put down the guitar for two years. Whatever the reason I am happy you are back.

Yeah, I sort of changed hobbies, got really into reading books and left everything else aside. I hope to find some equilibrium this year.

That’s very interesting, @Ernesto . So one thing I figured out at some point in my adult life is that we never have “free” time. No matter what I do with my 24 hours, everyone does something, even if that’s simply staring at the walls. So when we start doing something new, that means we stop doing something we had been doing. So it’s always about “trading” time, rather than using “free” time.

That having been said, you came in TAC with a vengeance. You were all in, giving SO much of your time to TAC, so you obviously just suddenly stopped doing things you had been doing. I guess you must be like me, an all or nothin’ kinda person.

Anyway, I’m glad you’re back and good luck on learning to be more balanced. I’ve been trying to be more balanced for a lot of years. Have I made any progress at all? Yeah, a little, maybe, in the last few years. I hope you can find balance quicker and easier than I have since I’m 67 now and still more out of balance than in balance.

        MG 😀

Ernesto; so glad to see you back. When I started TAC you were very kind and patient to a newbie; providing info and support. The best to you as you get back in the saddle.

Ernesto, it is good to have you back. The site is new but the opportunities for enjoyment continue to abound. Last year I focused on theory and reviewed the old fretboard wizard and took the NEW Fretboard Wizard course. It has added more depth. I have 4 things I do daily to keep balance. My “Dailies” include Bible reading, TAC, Exercise, Prayer. At least 10 minutes each at some point around Life. It enriches me so I share it with you. Welcome back.
