Jammin’ with @Marty69
Posted by Bill_Brown on August 10, 2022 at 8:24 amI don’t remember exactly when I started jammin’ with @Marty69 , but I’ve been doing it for a while. I’ve commented on Marty’s video posts that “I was jammin’ with him, even though he didn’t know it”. He’s responded to me a few times that he wants to see what I’m doing, basically challenging me to post something that shows it – well, here goes😱🎸🤩

Thanks @ChuckS for listening🙏 After listening a couple of times, I realize that I could have done a couple of things differently. But that’s the thing about improvising, it’s all feel and done at the moment🤔🎸😎

Wow loved it. I should post more so you can play to them! Very nice @Bill_Brown
You also gave me some idea’s. Look to the future for more like this. Thanks!!!
(Hint: practice Santana’s “Samba Pa Ti” lead. in the key of G. 😊🧙♂️😎

I’m glad you enjoyed my noodling over your instrumental🤩 @Marty69 👍 This is the kind of thing I’ve been doing all along, except this time I tried to plan it out somewhat because I knew I had to post (I felt no pressure – LOL 🤣). After listening to the improv a couple times, I realized that there were 1 or 2 things I could/should have done differently, but that’s the nature of an improv – right?🤔
About the next one, I wasn’t familiar with the particular Santana tune that you mentioned, but I did some research and found the chords, so I have an idea of what’s coming😱🎸 I see that the chords/notes fit perfectly with the G major pentatonic scale, so I’ll have to learn the “boxes” to have something going over top of the chord progression(s). We’ll see how long it takes me to post something – I’d like to think I could play close to Carlos someday, but it won’t be happening anytime soon (LOL).
Anyways, thanks again Marty for giving me the opportunity to jam with you, I thoroughly enjoyed it and had lots of fun too. Looking forward to your next post😎🎸🤘

@Bill_Brown That was very nice! Great touch and sound.
I believe this is the first time I have see a video of yours. Have you posted before? Good to see you! I don’t know why; since I only know you from your comments; but I expected you to have facial hair. 😉 Thanks Bill!-
Thank you for taking the time to listen and comment @Philb 👍🙏 I’ve posted 4 TAC videos, 2 in the “modern era” and 2 in “ancient times”(before the format change). I certainly plan on doing some more as my journey progresses. As for facial hair, I shaved it all off back in 1982😱, when I first started dating my wife. (I had heard through the grape vine that she wouldn’t go out with me because of it). You know the old saying Phil, “happy wife – happy life”, so I’ve been clean shaven ever since🤩 Although I wouldn’t mind doing something to hide that double chin I’ve developed🤣

I love the collaboration @Bill_Brown and @Marty69 ! Nice improv, Bill. Very easy on the ears and well played Your should definitely post some additional videos! 😎🎶🎸

Thanks @Kitman for your encouragement, it’s greatly appreciated🙏🎸 As for more collaborations, I believe @Marty69 has something else in the works for me to noodle with😎 so you’ll likely see some more (and hopefully I’ll have the wear-with-all to not be playing the same improv in a different key) LOL 😱🤣
