  • Made 5 year old laugh uncontrollably

Posted by Layton_Lange on May 15, 2021 at 1:01 pm

Yesterday I was hanging out with the nephews (3 and 5) and was playing guitar. Played a silly song that I made up on the spot that resulted in the older one, Grady, to laugh uncontrollably for at least 3 minutes. Definitely it was a first and felt pretty good.

Great stuff! Had similar experiences with my grandkids when they were younger. Now that they’re older their standards are higher. Have to learn some Billie Eilish 🙂

Thanks @david leo that’s good stuff. Luckily they are young right now and their standards are very low haha

Great small win. It’s fun to make a connection with the nephews and practice making some tunes at the same time.

Kids are so responsive to music. I think it’s great that you were able to 1) improv and 2) make your nephew laugh like that. Great wins @Lange22

We are supposed to be in this for the joy. @Lange22 , a 5-year old’s laughter is the definition of JOY, and great job. Great #smallwin.

Loving this @Lange22 , it gets better and better. My nephew (age 9 years)wrote a poem in school and recited it live for an open house. My sister took video of it and sent it to me. I was so moved I put music to it an sang it back to him on video. He thought that was the coolest thing but for me it was way beyond cool, it was some of the most powerful magic ever. You keep playing for those guys!
