Mr Spaceman (The Byrds)
Posted by Philb on January 1, 2022 at 6:41 pmI didn’t so much learn this song as look it up; print it out; and wing it twice, improvising a bit different each time; and choose one. I knew the lyrics pretty well from the old days; increased the tempo a bit; and had fun with it.

How fun! I’ll have to wing that one myself. Cool falsetto you have @Philb. I heard the Byrds perform this back in 1970 at an air concert in Ft. Lauderdale.

@Guitargeezer-Jack Thanks for listening, and the generous comments. My falsetto is as poor as my singing, but I gave it a go.
I never got to hear the Byrds; what great harmonies they had.

PhilB, I too enjoyed your enthusiastic playing and singing!

Such a fun tune @Philb. Thanks for playing it for us. I also played it at one of the VOMs and people seemed to really enjoy it. Hope to see you there one day!

@SoCal_Ian Thanks for giving it a listen! If my schedule allows I’ll have to check the VOM’s out again. We are taking care of two great grandkids Friday evenings and on the weekends, so our schedule centers around them a lot. Glad to hear I’m not the only one to play this one. Take care!
