One in a row
Wow!!! This has been a year like none other. I just hit my first Taciversary on May 2nd; one year and a month after losing a career of 20 years and hitting a low. To say I was down would be an understatement. I saw Tony’s “light the guitar on fire” ad after a few drinks on a Saturday night on the couch and told the very understanding wife “it’s now or never”. I had started practicing again but had no direction and decided to give Tony some trust. Since then I have missed one day of practice, completed Fretboard Wizard twice, done other skill lessons and started my own YouTube and Rumble channels (still minor league but getting a little better). I have much work to do (especially with finger style education) but am a bit shocked how simple many songs are that I can add to a song list. I have about 40 in various stages of memorization and have put some videos up on my channels. I am a singer by long time experience and am glad I can now be my own band.
This next year (although with shortened practice times due to having a new job) will end with a full evening’s worth of songs to play at a jam or in a coffee house or pub. That is the goal. I also want to spend more time with the TAC folks. Life has gotten in the way of getting to know you peeps better and I want to remedy that.
GUITAR GEEKS UNITE and thanks for being there.
