Played My First Live Open Mic of the CE (COVID Era)
On Wed. Night, I ventured out for my first live open mic in about 18 months, maybe more. The venue was the Bally Hotel for the open mic hosted by local legend, Phil Stahl, who has been hosting open mics in a number of places for over 4 decades. (Check out Phil at https://www.youtube.com/user/philstahl and http://www.philstahl.com/stream.html.)
Not many people had signed up by the time I played, so Phil was giving performers a chance to do 5 songs. I played:
Trains – Porcupine Tree
Last Day of Summer – John H. Doan
Down – Clandestine
Reasons Why – Nickel Creek
Burn – Written by Tim Hart of Steeleye Span, but I am most familiar with the way Clandestine performs it.
I had fun.
